The 3 ways to ship from Thailand
When importing Thai products wholesale, you have three main options:
- Air courier (DHL/FedEx) — the fastest option, best for samples and small/urgent orders. Highest cost per kg.
- Air freight — faster than sea, good for medium orders where speed matters.
- Sea freight (LCL/FCL) — slower, but usually the most economical per unit for bulk orders. Ideal once your volume grows.
Transit time varies by product, supplier, route and destination; confirm it in the quotation.
Customs, duties & taxes
Every country charges import duty + local tax (VAT/GST) based on the product category and declared value. Cosmetics and supplements sometimes need extra registration or a certificate of free sale. Check your own country's current rules with the local authority or a customs broker before a large order. Export documents such as the invoice, packing list and certificate of origin may be available on request, depending on the product.
